She received her degree from Albizu University, Mayaguez campus, in Puerto Rico, which is where she is originally from.
Her first language is Spanish and she is fluent in written English. She says, "I understand English perfectly; I am still working on becoming fluent."
In her free time, Wanda enjoys spending time with her family and looking for new ways to acquire knowledge. She is married and a mother of two children, and is passionate about causes directed toward the Latino community.
Wanda has always been interested in the study of emotions and cognitions, which is why she decided to study mental health. What she likes most about her profession is being able to see the positive results and transformation in the people who she helps. Something that makes Wanda unique is her commitment, empathy, and sincerity in her professional fields.
The advice she often gives her clients is, "It is okay to make mistakes, the important thing is to recognize them and seek help."
That is why she feels proud of each of the people she serves.
