Matilde Aybar
Registered Marriage & Family Therapy Intern

Matilde is a counselor for families and couples who specializes in conflict management - both in the family environment and in diverse groups - grief management, and different types of emotional dependencies.

She has a Doctorate in Pastoral Psychology and International Chaplaincy from Professional Christian University in Kissimmee, FL. Matilde earned her Master of Education with a concentration in counseling and guidance from the Ana G. Méndez University and Turabo University in Orlando, FL.  She is also a systems engineer, which she graduated with her degree in the Dominican Republic. Matilde also teaches at Professional Christian University.

She is passionate about following the cause of Christ through loving her neighbors, which was what brought her to where she is now. Matilde is also passionate about seeking various trainings in her field, continuous learning, and hard work in various ways. This allows her to continue growing in these areas, including the behavior of the human being that brings so many satisfactions to the individual and to families. Matilde states, "I have been a lecturer on several occasions and have participated in conferences and activities together with other professionals in the area."

A Helping Hand Counseling Center exists to significantly improve the mental health and well-being of all members of the community through counseling, education, support and advocacy.
