Outside of the office, do you have any hobbies or interests? "I enjoy making tumblers, spending time with my friends, reading crime novels, and watching crime shows."
Are you married and/or have children? "Married twelve years, together for twenty. I am a mother of three, two boys and one girl. My husband and I met in my freshman year of college, became friends and it blossomed into a relationship."
What causes are you passionate about? "I'm very passionate about helping others become the version of themselves they strive to be. I am extremely passionate about children and teens building great relationships with their parents. Parental involvement is key and I am passionate about helping them to build that relationship. My goals for couples are to help them find a happy medium, using tools to build what they have to keep the passion and fire going."
Do you do any volunteer work? "Currently I volunteer as a little league football team mom."
What is one interesting fact about you? "I have one dimple on my right cheek. I tease my mom that if we put our cheeks together we have a matching pair of dimples."
What drew you to this profession? "I was drawn to the profession by recognizing my shortcomings as a child and what I wish I had in my life. I like seeing the growth in clients along with them recognizing when their failures turned inside out."
What makes you unique? "I'm a natural introvert that becomes extroverted in the therapy session. I am true to my comfortable and relaxing style of clothing, recognizing I am here to help clients achieve what they want regardless of what I or they look like. The exterior doesn't shine as bright as what's inside, so I like to help people pull that out."
What is something you are working toward? "I am currently working on being licensed and building toward hosting more groups for families, teens, and couples. My hopes are to one day bring therapy services to where I am from."
What is one piece of advice you commonly give to your clients? "I like to tell my clients that if they are okay with me challenging them and bringing out what they want to work on, it will make the journey more fulfilling."
