We are a dedicated non-profit organization focused on providing essential mental health services to individuals and families in need. We understand that life’s challenges can be overwhelming, and sometimes the cost of professional counseling can be a barrier to getting the help you deserve. That’s why we are proud to offer sliding scale scholarships and free crisis counseling to ensure that everyone, regardless of financial situation, has access to the support they need. Our mission is to foster mental wellness and resilience within our community by offering affordable, compassionate counseling services. We believe that everyone deserves access to mental health support, and we are committed to making this a reality for those facing financial hardship.
AHHCC’s affiliated non-profit program, Helping Hand Community Counseling (HHCC), is designed to increase access to mental health services while supporting the training of future clinicians. As part of this program, graduate-level student interns provide all counseling services while completing supervised clinical training. If you receive services through our non-profit program, please note,
your therapist will be a student intern (not a licensed clinician). All services are provided under the supervision of a licensed, qualified supervisor in accordance with Florida law and professional standards. Interns may conduct sessions independently and a qualified supervisor regularly reviews their work to ensure quality care.
