John "Scott" Singmaster is a Registered Marriage and Family Intern at AHHCC. He graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University and his professional area of focus is on the family unit.
Scott is originally from New Hampshire and enjoys fishing and photography as leisure activities, but prefers spending time with his wife and two children above anything else.
Scott volunteers as an usher at his church. Something interesting to note is that he used to live in Japan!
He was drawn to this profession by his early interest in psychology and finding out what motivates people to make changes to their lives. He states, "I write self help books and will continue to do so as the Lord leads."
What makes Scott unique is his ability to emotionally connect with his clients and help bring clarity to their feelings.
One common piece of advice he commonly gives to his clients is,"Life is a process, so be patient with yourself."
A Helping Hand Counseling Center exists to significantly improve the mental health and well-being of all members of the community through counseling, education, support and advocacy.
